Rental Agreement – House Rent Agreement

RENTAL AGREEMENT

This Rent Agreement is hereby executed at on this day of between:

son of R/o

(hereinafter referred to as the First Party / Landlord) this term would include his heirs, successors, legal representatives and assigns etc.

AND

son of R/o

(hereinafter referred to as the Second Party / Tenant) of the other part, which expression shall mean and include his heirs, successors, legal representatives and assigns etc.

The premise is in the possession of the owner who is the First Party with residential House or Flat No. and is owned by the First Party and has been agreed to be let out to the Second Party on monthly rental basis.

NOW THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH AS UNDER:

1. The monthly rent is fixed at Rs. per month excluding electricity, water and other charges.

2. The tenancy period shall commence from and shall be valid for 11 months.

3. The Tenant shall deposit a sum of Rs. as security deposit refundable at the time of vacating.

4. The tenant should use the premises for residential purpose only and not for commercial purpose.

5. The tenant has no right to sub-let or part with any portion of the premises to any person.

6. In case the tenant fails to pay rent for two months or more, the landlord can ask the tenant to vacate the premises.

7. The tenant shall pay electricity, water and other utility bills separately and these charges are not included in the monthly rent.

8. The tenant shall maintain the rented premises and all fittings and fixtures in good condition.

9. The rented premises shall be maintained in the same condition in which it was handed over.

10. The landlord or any authorized representative shall have the right to inspect the rented premises whenever necessary.

11. Both parties shall give one month's prior notice before vacating or terminating this agreement.

12. The above terms and conditions are final and binding on both parties.

This agreement is signed and agreed by both the parties at in the presence of the following witnesses.
